A LIFE FOR MOMENTS

A Photo Exhibition at the Villa Schöningen

Internet:

From August 9 to September 9, 2018, astfilm, Tony Vaccaro Studio, Monroe Gallery of Photography and Villa Schoeningen jointly presented the "Living for the Moment" exhibit of more than 120 photos by American photo journalist Tony Vaccaro (95). Vaccaro is the last living photographer who chronicled World War II and the immediate post war years in Germany and other European countries.

Later Vaccaro worked for the magazines "Life", "Look" and "Flair". His fashion photos and portraits found a worldwide audience. The "Living for the Moment" exhibit in Villa Schoeningen documented the extraordinary life of one of the last great magicians of the "golden century of photography". The photos span half a century of world history.

The exhibit was arranged thematically and chronologically under the themes "Shots of War", "La Mia Italia", "Germany", "Faces", "Fashion" and "New York".
